On Friday, September 20, the head of the Ministry of National Defence together with the defence ministers of the Czech Republic - Lubomir Metnar, Slovakia - Peter Gajdosz and Hungary - Tibor Benko talked about the cooperation of V4 countries, including the EU Battle Group and other projects strengthening cooperation in the region.

- An example of cooperation under PESCO is the project submitted by Poland and Hungary regarding the creation of a medical training center for special operations forces. Hungarians specialize in military health care and have developed competences in this field. Poland has very developed competences when it comes to special forces, so we combine these two functions, we create a center within PESCO. We can say that we will also work for our allies - said the head of the Ministry of National Defence after the meeting.

Defence Minister Błaszczak also informed that one of the topics of the conversation were joint armament purchases and equipment modernization. - We talked about the modernization of tanks. Modernization processes are taking place all the time in the armies of the Visegrad Group countries. We want to take advantage of our joint experiences - said the head of the Ministry of National Defence.

Defence Minister pointed out that one of the topics were issues related to transport infrastructure, which is important for security, but is also of great importance for economic development.
