During the meeting, the Polish minister of national defence has thanked the French minister of defence Catherine Vautrin for the assistance, that France lent Poland in September 2025.
I would like to personally thank the minister for the swift and solidaric reaction after the violation of the Polish airspace by Russian drones. It was the first operation of this kind, where unmanned aerial vehicles from the Russian Federation have been shot down over the territory of a NATO country. I am also grateful for the bolstering of operation Eastern Sentry. - said the deputy prime minister Kosiniak-Kamysz.
