- The meeting of the European Union defense ministers was dedicated to three issues. The commencement of the military training mission for Ukrainian forces was the first one. The operational command of the mission is to be situated in Poland. Its activities will primarily be conducted at the training ground in Wędrzyn - this will be the basic location of the mission - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense after the meeting of European Union defense ministers in Brussels.

- We are successively modernizing the Polish Armed Forces' equipment. One of the most significant steps in this process is the replacement of worn-out armored combat vehicles. The new machines must be of the highest quality and fully interoperable with our Allies' equipment. Hence, it is no coincidence that next to the tested Borsuk (Badger) armored combat vehicle is displayed alongside the American Bradley. We intend to be as interoperable with our NATO partners as possible - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense at a meeting with soldiers at the training ground in Orzysz.

“The first K239 CHUNMOO launchers, mounted on the Jelcz trucks, will strengthen the Polish Armed Forces next year. Undoubtedly, it is our common remarkable achievement. At first only components, but later, I am confident that, full artillery sets will be produced in our country. With all certainty, such weaponry will significantly amplify the combat potential of the Polish Armed Forces. It will grow the deterrence potential and scare away the aggressor” said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defense after signing the contract for the supply of the weapon system's elements.

“I have decided to take measures to strengthen security on the Polish border with the Kaliningrad Oblast. Therefore, today works to construct a temporary wall on our border begins. It will be undertaken by the Polish Armed Forces’ military engineers(…) We use the experience gained last year. There is no doubt that the temporary “dam” has protected the Polish-Belarusian border. It has prevented a hybrid attack from Belarusian territory, or at least it slowed it down significantly” said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defense, at a press conference.

- There are no modern armed forces without drones. Bayraktars are UCAVs that on the one hand carry out reconnaissance missions, and on the other are capable of performing combat missions as well. This marks a major stage in the process of the Polish Armed Forces’ modernization equipping them with modern equipment. We are starting the process of equipping military units with Bayraktars. We ordered these drones long before Russia invaded Ukraine. At that time, we were told that this was a weapon that we would never benefit from. What has happened in Ukraine shows that those claims were wrong and that it is a highly effective weapon, which in the hands of the Ukrainians, allows them to effectively defend their territory - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak at a meeting with the Polish Armed Forces’ soldiers in Mirosławiec.

- It is in Łask where the soldiers of the Polish and American air forces train together on a daily basis, protecting the Polish sky. This is the practical dimension of building interoperability between the Polish and American armed forces. We highly appreciate the presence of American forces, including the air force, equipped with modern F-22 Raptor fighters. Their presence, here in Poland, is a significant argument in the policy of the North Atlantic Alliance, a policy of deterring a possible aggressor - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak after meeting with Polish and American airmen in Łask.

“I would like to thank you for the very fruitful defense cooperation between Poland and South Korea. The analysis of the war in Ukraine underlines particular value of the artillery. Hence, we decided to strengthen Polish artillery, emphasizing rocket artillery” said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during the agreement signing ceremony of yet another South Korean military equipment.

„We had a discussion about the current situation on NATO's eastern flank and the implementation of the Madrid Summit’s decisions(…). I wish to emphasize the commitment of the United States to ensure the security of the eastern flank, therefore I thanked Lloyd Austin for the constant presence of American troops on Polish soil” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Defense at the meeting of the chiefs defense ministries of the B9 countries in Brussels.

“We have achieved the goal. Polish PATRIOTS are already being integrated, as we are commencing works that are to result in the creation of a multi-layer air-defense system. After 4 years of work, today marks the finish of our efforts. Today, everyone can see the launchers, radars, and the entire system with their own eyes. Yet, one of the most important of the system’s elements remains hidden - but is still extremely important. It is the heart of the system. I speak of IBCS battlefield control system, which guarantees network-centricity. The middle layer is PATRIOT, the lower is NAREW, and the lowest is PIORUN sets supplemented with the PILICA artillery set. All these activities come down to achieving one basic goal - ensuring safety over the Polish skies” - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during his visit to Toruń.

“In my speech at the session of the North Atlantic Council, I drew attention to the threats from both Russia and Belarus. I introduced this issue with the intent to emphasize that Ukraine is being attacked from the territory of Belarus as well. The Alliance should be prepared when it comes to threats from this direction” said Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense Mariusz Błaszczak after the meeting of the North Atlantic Council.
