"In a short time, with our South Korean partner, we achieved a lot. From the point of view of Poland's security, the most important thing is that the first examples of tanks and cannon-howitzers will be delivered to the Polish Army this year. Later this year, 10 K2 tanks will be delivered to Morąg, and 24 cannon-howitzers will be delivered to the Polish Army. The K9s will go to the artillery regiment in Węgorzewo" - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during the approval of contracts for South Korean military equipment.

“We are consistent in building the resilience of the North Atlantic Alliance through the development of the Polish armed forces as well as constant exercises. Exercises are extremely important when it comes to building interoperability, i.e. training procedures, contacts between soldiers. The forces of the North Atlantic Alliance guard the security and stability of the countries located on NATO's Eastern Flank” - assured Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during a meeting with soldiers participating in the Amber Desire 22 exercise.

“Poland and the Czech Republic are neighbours who cooperate with each other. This is particularly important when it comes to the challenges we face, and in fact the whole of Europe is facing. These challenges concern Russian aggression against Ukraine. These challenges relate to Putin's attempts to rebuild the Russian Empire. Both Poland and the Czech Republic are opposed to these tendencies. We have identical historical experiences. After World War II, both our countries were dominated by Moscow. We do not want to return to this situation and therefore we support Ukraine, but we also strengthen our own armed forces” - said Deputy Prime Minister, Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak after a meeting with Jana Černochova, head of the Czech defence ministry.

“As Marshal Piłsudski said - independence is not only a valuable but also very expensive good. To maintain independence, we must invest in the army, military equipment and infrastructure. I did not expect that we would be criticized for rapidly increasing Poland's security. Despite these attacks and unjustified criticism, together with the Mr. President, we will be consistent in our efforts to modernize the Polish Army, increase its numbers and strengthen alliances” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence during the central celebration of the Polish Army Day in Warsaw.

“I distinguished and thanked all those soldiers who have distinguished themselves with their attitude and service over the last time. This attitude is directly identical with that of our ancestors who defended the reborn Poland just 102 years ago. Thanks to your attitude, Poland is safe - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defence, during a meeting with soldiers in Warsaw.

“Poland wants Ukraine to be independent, that we border independent Ukraine. Hence, we support Ukraine. It is very good that another format has been created to coordinate support for Ukraine. The greatest threat facing Ukraine, but also the countries neighbouring Russia, is that the free world will get tired of information about the war (...) Our task should be to maintain the world's interest in the fact that Russia is aggressive and intends to rebuild its empire” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence in Copenhagen.

“Our task to increase the defence forces of the Republic of Poland. This is the purpose of equipping the Polish Army with the most modern tanks, because ABRAMS tanks are the most modern tanks in the world” - said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during the meeting with soldiers in Poznań.

“Close relations between Poland and the United States are one of the pillars of Poland's security, but also of the security of the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance on NATO's Eastern Flank. These relations are embedded in deep history, and one of the symbols of these relations is the figure of Tadeusz Kościuszko - the hero of two nations: the Polish nation and the American nation"- said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Defence during the ceremony of receiving the distinctive name for Forward Operating Site U.S. Army V Corps in Poland.

Framework agreements have been signed, which will significantly strengthen the Polish armed forces. This strengthening is extremely important in view of the situation on our eastern border. We do not have time, we cannot wait. We have to arm the Polish Army - said Mariusz Błaszczak, deputy prime minister, head of the Ministry of National Defence during the approval of contracts for South Korean military equipment.

"Weekend with the military/troops" - under this slogan, from the 13th to 15th of August, the central celebration of the Polish Army Day and the 102nd anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw will take place. For these days, the Ministry of National Defence and the Polish Army have planned numerous state, patriotic, religious, cultural and entertainment events.
