17.09.2020Polish-Lithuanian intergovernmental consultations in Vilnius– One of the topics of my today’s conversation with the Minister of National Defence of Lithuania were issues related with ensuring the security of the eastern flank of NATO. An important element and factor in this process is cooperation with the USA. The agreement on the permanent and enhanced presence of US troops in Poland undoubtedly deters a potential aggressor and positively effects the security of NATO's eastern flank – stated Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence after the meeting with the Minister of National Defence of Lithuania.

28.08.2020Power of solidarityGeneral Rajmund T. Andrzejczak, who leads the Polish Armed Forces, is running for the position of the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. The Polish Government officially recommended him to chair this highest military body of the Alliance. The result of the competition will be known in September following the voting by chiefs of defence of all NATO countries. The new Chairman will assume his duties in the summer of 2021.

15.08.2020New U.S.-Poland Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement signedThe US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo and the Minister of National Defence, Mariusz Błaszczak signed an agreement on defense cooperation, on August 15th . The signing ceremony took place in Warsaw in the Presidential Palace in the presence of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.

10.07.2020American Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise in PolandFrom July 14 to Aug. 23 as part of Dynamic Force Employment, an American armored unit will deploy to Europe. Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise is a US Department of Defense-directed, strategic deployment designed to test the Army’s ability to rapidly alert and deploy around the globe. The exercise will test the US strategic readiness to support the European allies.

09.07.2020Together we are stronger and safer– Many years we have been connected by very friendly Polish-Slovak relations. Together we are developing a defense system that guarantees security not only for Poland and Slovakia, but also for the entire eastern flank of NATO. Together we are part of the Visegrad Group (V4) and we are also members of NATO and the EU. These are very strong bonds, and our task as defense ministers is to strengthen these relations, because together we are stronger, together we are safer – emphasized Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defence during the meeting with Jaroslav Naď the Minister of Defense of Slovakia.
