Bilateral cooperation and security policy were the main topics discussed by the Polish Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak and Pakistani Minister of National Defense Khurran D. Khan.

Mariusz Błaszczak, Minister of National Defense met on Thursday, April 12 with General Riccardo Marchio' from the Italian armed forces, commander of the Allied Joint Forces Command located in Brunssum, the Netherlands.

- On the Vistula River it is safe thanks to the fact that today we are signing a contract that will bring a modern system to Poland. We join the elite group of countries with effective defense, possessing weapons that ensures security - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense during the signing of the contract for the first stage of the "WISŁA" program.

The V4 defence cooperation as well as its prospects were the main issues discussed during the V4 Defence Ministers meeting in Budapest. The Ministry of National Defence was represented by Deputy Minister - Under-Secretary of State Mr Tomasz Szatkowski.

On Monday, Andrzej Duda, the President of the Republic of Poland, the Superior of the Armed Forces and Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense met in Bagram military base with soldiers of the Polish Military Contingent. They serve in Afghanistan as part of the Resolute Support mission.

The threats to the regional and global security as well as the Polish-US cooperation aimed at addressing those challenges were the main issues tackled during the meeting Deputy Minister - Under-Secretary of State Mr Tomasz Szatkowski with dr Richard D. Hooker, Jr. - Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Europe and Russia in the National Security Council.

Security issues in Europe and the presence of the NATO Treaty battlegroups in the countries of the Alliance's eastern flank predominated the talks of Mariusz Błaszczak, the minister of national defense with Rose Gottemoeller, deputy secretary general of NATO.

On the 14th of March 2018, the meeting of a Polish-U.S. High Level Defense Group (HLDG) has been held.

- Poland attaches a great importance to cooperation in the B9 Group and between the countries of the Eastern Flank - assured Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense during the B9 Meeting in defence ministers’ format.

- I would like to thank you for your service outside of Poland, together with Romanian soldiers. This is extremely important for us, for Poland, for our security - said Mariusz Błaszczak, the Minister of National Defense, during a meeting with soldiers serving in the Polish Military Contingent in Romania.
