Poland becomes a rocket manufacturer. The Homar-K contract signed
29.12.2025
- We are connecting a Polish and a Korean firm, WB Electronics - a showcase of Poland in Europe and the world when it comes to drone production and, starting today, also in rocket manufacturing - with Hanwha Aerospace, known and respected by our allies - said the deputy prime minister W. Kosiniak-Kamysz after signing the implementation agreement for the HOMAR-K programme.
The deputy prime minister – minister of national defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and the secretary of state in the Ministry of National Defence Paweł Bejda have met the delegates from the government and the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Korea in Warsaw on 29 December. The delegation was led by the special envoy of the President of the Republic of Korea for strategic economic cooperation, chief of the Chancellery of the President, Kang Hoon-sik. A third implementation agreement for the HOMAR-K multiple rocket launcher programme, aimed at procuring Polish-produced rockets for the HOMAR-K launcher, was signed after the meeting.
- The Polish-Korean friendship is once again confirmed by our reciprocated relations, contracts, but also very good talks. The fruit of these talks is today’s contract, the third implementation agreement in the HOMAR-K programme of multiple rocket launchers that we are buying with new contracts, and today we are building something that has always been our ambition, the goal of our government – we are building manufacturing independence
- noted the minister of national defence.
The subject of the implementation agreement, made between the Polish Armaments Agency and the consortium of the joint venture firm Hanwha WB Advanced System LLC (consortium leader) and Hanwha Aerospace Co. Ltd., is the delivery of CGR-080 precision rockets with 80 km of range, produced in Poland.
- This is the fulfilment of our promise – what we have been talking about together with deputy minister Paweł Bejda even when we were parliamentarians from the opposition. Choosing the best manufacturers is very important to us, but equally important, if not more so, is that production takes place in Poland. In Polish factories, built in Poland. (…) I am thankful and would like to congratulate all who have worked on this contract
- stressed the minister of national defence.
