Additionally, the Minister of Digital Affairs authorizes the Laboratory to perform activities under the EUCC program in the following areas: 

• general-purpose network software and products; 
• hardware devices with security boxes. in the form of a cybersecurity evaluation at a high assurance level.

NIT IT Security Evaluation Facility (ITSEF), is further expanding its accredited laboratory activities, this time to include two key areas of cybersecurity: 

1. Compliance testing of radio equipment with the essential requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53 (RED).

Conducting compliance testing with the cybersecurity and personal data protection requirements contained in the three-part harmonized standard EN 18031 "Common security requirements for radio equipment" provides manufacturers with a presumption of conformity of their products with the Directive. The IT Security Evaluation Facility, as an accredited testing laboratory, offers radio equipment manufacturers a comprehensive service, including preparing and conducting product testing for compliance with the cybersecurity requirements specified in EN 18031.

2. Cybersecurity evaluation in accordance with the PN-EN 17640:2022/AMD1:2026 standard "Time-fixed cybersecurity methodology evaluation". 

IT Security Evaluation Facility (ITSEF) has been accredited in cybersecurity assessment in accordance with the PN-EN 17640 standard (known as FITCEM). In this area of accreditation, the first step will be to evaluate the Polish digital identity wallet solution, developed by the Centre for Information Technology (COI – Centralny Ośrodek Informatyki). The NIT ITSEF is one of few conformity assessment bodies in Europe that conduct such evaluations.
