    Held on 10 June in the framework of the Polish-Afghan political consultations, the talks between Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marcin Przydacz and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Meerwais Nab focused on opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation in key areas for both countries. Also discussed was the current situation in Afghanistan and its outlook, in the light of NATO’s decision to terminate Resolute Support mission.

    On 23 May 2021, Undersecretary of State Marcin Przydacz urgently summoned chargé d’affaires of the Republic of Belarus, Aliaksandr Chasnouski to the MFA. The meeting was requested to express Poland’s firm protest against forcing a civilian Ryanair jetliner belonging to a company registered in the Republic of Poland to land.

    When on 3 May 1791 the Four-Year Sejm also called the Great Sejm adopted The Government Act of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth later known as the Constitution of 3 May, the Polish-Lithuanian state became the Europe’s first and the world’s second that passed the basic law. For its time, it was a progressive and bold legal act which initiated a number of reforms. It also constituted a crowning achievement of the centuries-old links between Poland and Lithuania.
