Poland in Nigeria

Please be kindly informed that due to a public holiday the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja will be closed on the 6th and 7th January 2022.

Today, Poland has started its one-year Chairmanship at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Thus, our country is assuming a greater role in shaping security and stabilisation on the European continent in the spirit of the Helsinki Final Act, whose 50th anniversary we will be celebrating in 2025.

On December 16th The Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK) in collaboration with the Nasarawa State Government and the Polish Embassy in Nigeria organized the unveiling ceremony of a series of (three) classic books translated from Polish language to English. These three books on “Fundamentals of Criminal Psychology”, “Criminology”, and “Suicidology” authored by veteran Professor Brunon Holyst.

The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja will be closed on the 9th and 10th December 2021. The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja in cooperation with the Nigerian non-governmental organization Almajiri Child Rights Initiative (ACRI) has completed a development project financed under the Polish Aid program, which is a response to the challenges of the reform of the Almajiri educational system. The new school was officially opened on November 23 this year.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja together with UN Women Nigeria organized on November 29 workshops for Nigerian women inspired by the life and achievements of outstanding Polish and Nigerian women. The event took place as part of the campaign entitled “16 days of activism against gender based violence”.

In November, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Abuja completed the implementation of a development project in Monrovia, Liberia.
