Commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the OECD Convention

On 14 December 2020, a jubilee conference was held to mark the 60th anniversary of the signature of the OECD Convention. The event which took place in the unique and difficult context of the COVID-19 pandemic, was provided an opportunity to reflect on the most important achievements and role of the OECD compared to other international organizations, as well as to exchange of views on effective economic recovery in the post-COVID era, taking into account the economic, social and environmental dimensions.
The virtual event was held in the presence of Heads of state and government and representatives of the EU.
The jubilee conference was co-hosted by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, and the Secretary-General of the OECD, Angel Gurría. Poland was represented by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
The celebration of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the OECD Convention was broadcast on the OECD website.
