Poland in the OECD

The Poland-France Cultural Season, scheduled for 2027, will be one of the most important undertakings in Polish-French relations in the years to come. This joint initiative is consistent with the spirit of the Treaty of Nancy on Polish-French cooperation ratified in 2025. It is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Poland's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, in cooperation with the OECD, is pleased to invite you to a high level discussion panel entitled "Building Economic Resilience Through Cooperation,” held during the World Economic Forum in Davos 2026.

Russian aggression against Ukraine and the strengthening of security cooperation in the Baltic Sea were the main topics of a meeting of Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) political directors.

Undersecretary of State Henryka Mościcka-Dendys presented French Ambassador Étienne de Poncins with the instrument of ratification of the Treaty for Enhanced Cooperation and Friendship between the Republic of Poland and the French Republic. The document confirms that our country has completed all ratification procedures and is now eventually bound by the Treaty.

Poland's top diplomat took part in the first session of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe held in Vienna on 4 December.

For the third time in history, Poland has been elected to UNESCO's World Heritage Committee-body responsible for the implementation of the 1972 Convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The election for the 2025-2029 term testifies to Poland's strong position in the international heritage protection system and recognises our long-standing expertise.

The College of Europe has opened applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/27 academic year. In response to the growing need in Europe for experts in security, the College of Europe in Natolin is proud to announce the new study track within the Advanced MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies: European Security and Strategy. Candidates have until 14 January 2026 to submit their online application.

Poland holds the presidency of the CBSS from 1st July 2025 to 30th June 2026, taking over from Estonia. The Polish Presidency aims to continue the practical cooperation undertaken and built on achievements of the previous presidencies, in line with the CBSS long-term priorities:

On 27 May, an informal meeting of the Horizontal Working Party on Enhancing Resilience and Countering Hybrid Threats was held in Warsaw, under Poland's Presidency of the EU Council. The talks included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
