Poland in the OSCE

The annual meeting of foreign ministers of the OSCE participating States took place on 4 and 5 December 2025 in Vienna.

The OSCE is launching the OSCE Moscow Mechanism to investigate human rights violations by Russia on Ukrainian territory, in particular with regard to treatment of the prisoners of war.

On 24 June 2025, the first meeting of the OSCE Informal Working Group on Cyber/ICT Security took place under the chairpersonship of Poland's Permanent Representative, Ambassador Marek Szczygieł.

In cooperation with the Secretariat of the Community of Democracies and Delegations of the United Kingdom and Ukraine to the OSCE, Polish Mission organised an event on Russian Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) addressed to the diplomatic corps in Vienna.

Ambassadors and diplomats of OSCE participating States gathered in Hofburg, on the 3rd anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, to commemorate those who died defending Ukraine and Europe.

At a meeting of the OSCE's Reinforced Permanent Council convened on the 3rd anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers of most of the 57 OSCE participating States pledged continued support for Ukraine, as well as advocating for a just and lasting peace.

On 1 January 2025, Finland began its one-year Chairpersonship of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) with a focus on upholding OSCE principles, supporting Ukraine, and strengthening the Organisation’s resilience in order to address complex security challenges.

The OSCE participating States called on Georgia to provide concrete and substantive answers to a number of questions of concern in relation to developments following the announcement in November 2024 of Georgia's decision to suspend talks with the European Union on the opening of accession negotiations.

During two weeks of discussions, representatives of OSCE participating States, OSCE institutions, international organisations and representatives of civil society from across the OSCE area discussed the human rights situation.
