Poland in Saudi Arabia

On 13 November, the Cultural Palace in Riyadh hosted a concert by the Navy Club Vocal Ensemble ‘Riwiera’ to celebrate National Independence Day and Polish Army Day, co-organised by the Polish Embassy in Riyadh and the Defence Attaché.
The choir presented a selection of Polish patriotic songs, as well as shanties and other popular songs on maritime themes.
The event was also an opportunity to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Poland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as to recall that high-level political contacts between Poland and Saudi Arabia have a history of over 90 years.
The Defence Attaché installed an exhibition at the Cultural Palace on the theme of the Polish-Soviet War and the Battle of Warsaw.
The concert was well attended, with around 200 people from the diplomatic corps, the business community and the local Polish community taking part.
