Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs received the ambassadors of Poland and Ukraine

Polish Ambassador Robert Rostek (centre) and Ukrainian Ambassador Anatolii Petrenko (left) were received by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Waleed Elkhereiji (right), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Riyadh.

On 9 June 2026, Robert Rostek, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Anatolii Petrenko, Ambassador of Ukraine, were received by Waleed Elkhereiji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Riyadh.

During the meeting, the state of bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Poland and Ukraine was discussed, as well as current regional and international events and the measures being taken to address them.

The discussion covered, among other things, preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC2026), which will take place on 25–26 June 2026 in Gdańsk and
will be co-organised by Poland and Ukraine.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on international cooperation and measures to support the reconstruction of Ukraine following the end of hostilities.
