On 7–9 February 2026, the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Domański, paid an economic visit to Riyadh at the invitation of the Kingdom’s Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih. The program included talks focused on strengthening investment and trade cooperation, as well as on practical mechanisms to support the expansion of Polish companies in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf region.

The Minister was accompanied by the largest Polish business mission to the Kingdom to date. Approximately 70 companies were represented (including energy, infrastructure, IT/fintech/AI, agriculture and the food industry), with the economic component coordinated by Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH/Team Poland) in cooperation with development institutions.
During the visit, meetings were held with, among others, the Minister of Commerce, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, as well as representatives of key Saudi financial institutions and sovereign funds, including the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the National Development Fund (NDF). Discussions focused on opportunities for Polish enterprises to participate in projects implemented under Saudi Vision 2030.

An important part of the program was the Polish–Saudi Business Forum, held at the headquarters of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commers. The event brought together representatives of public administration and business communities from both countries and served as a platform for direct business-to-business dialogue. Two Memoranda of Understanding were signed during the Forum:

  • The first, between Polish development bank (BGK) and Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE) and the Saudi Export-Import Bank (Saudi EXIM Bank), concerning support for exports, services and investments, as well as the joint promotion of business projects;
  • The second, between Employers of Poland (Pracodawcy Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers, aimed at enhancing cooperation and supporting companies interested in partnerships.

The visit to Riyadh also provided an opportunity to present the strengths of the Polish economy to Saudi partners and to discuss further joint initiatives, particularly in the areas of energy (including energy transition), digital technologies, infrastructure and food security. The meetings confirmed the growing momentum of bilateral economic relations and the mutual readiness to further deepen cooperation.
