World famous jazz musicians Leszek Możdżer and Lars Danielsson in Stockholm

The sublime concert crowning the celebration 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Poland and the Kingdom of Sweden was honored by the presence of the Minister of European Union of the Kingdom of Sweden, Mr Hans Dahlgren and the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from Poland, Mr Konrad Szymański.

The concert organized on 11.10.2019 by the Embassy of Poland in Sweden in cooperation with the Stockholm Jazz Festival opened this year's edition of the Stockholm Jazz Festival and it gathered a large audience. In addition to Polish and Swedish representatives of governments, the concert was attended by politicians, diplomatic corps, representatives of the of business and science world, international music journalists, representatives of the Polish diaspora and several hundred Swedish and international music lovers. The concert was sponsored by two Polish companies: Gaz-System S. A. and PLL LOT S. A.

Speeches delivered before the concert by Minister Hans Dahlgren and Deputy Minister Konrad Szymański recalled the events from the common history that connect both countries. They also emphasized that those events should be an inspiration for further joint actions to ensure a secure and democratic European Union.

Before the concert, both ministers met to discuss issues related to the current EU agenda such as Brexit, Multiannual Financial Framework, climate change and future of the European Union in the context of the new institutional cycle.
