11.09.2026On 8 September, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, officially opened the Polish Pavilion at Nordic Life Science Days 2026 at Kistamässan in Stockholm-the largest life science event in the Nordic region, bringing together representatives of the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical sectors.

11.09.2026On 8 September, at the invitation of Olle Burell, President of the Stockholm City Council, Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska delivered a speech at Stockholm City Hall. The audience of approximately 70 guests included representatives of the City Executive Board, chairs of Stockholm's district councils, heads of municipal departments, and more than 20 CEOs of leading companies operating in Stockholm.

08.09.2026)n 2 September 2026, the Defence Attaché's Office at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm held a ceremony to present Medals of the Polish Armed Forces to Swedish service members who had taken part in NATO's Air Policing mission in Poland, contributing to the protection of Polish airspace. The event was attended by representatives of the Polish and Swedish Armed Forces and public administration, including Mr Peter Sandwall, State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry of Defence; Major General Jonas Wikman, Chief of the Swedish Air Force; and Rear Admiral Przemysław Karaś, Deputy Commander of the Maritime Operations Centre - Maritime Component Command.

03.09.2026On 3 September, as part of the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the Weimar Triangle, the Ambassadors of Poland, Germany and France-Karolina Ostrzyniewska, Ludger Siemes and Thierry Carlier-met in Stockholm with State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs Dag Hartelius. The talks focused on European security, support for Ukraine, and cooperation between the Weimar Triangle countries, Sweden and the Nordic-Baltic region.

24.08.2026Head of Foreign Service and Director General, Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, participated in the "Unleashed” conference in Stockholm, bringing together around 500 representatives from the business, political, academic, cultural and media communities across the Nordic-Baltic region. The conference was organised for the third time by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

21.08.2026Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, visited Karlshamn, where, at the invitation of the Port of Karlshamn authorities, she inaugurated the new Gdańsk-Karlshamn ferry route. The new connection creates additional opportunities for trade between Poland and Scandinavia, while also contributing to increased tourist traffic.

17.07.2026On 15 July 2026, Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska took part in a working breakfast of the ambassadors of the Visegrád Group (V4) countries accredited to Sweden. The meeting was hosted by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, Ľubomír Čaňo, on the occasion of the inauguration of Slovakia's V4 Presidency. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Radek Matula, and the Ambassador of Hungary, Péter Palóczi.

08.07.2026From 3 to 5 July 2026, Warsaw hosted the 2nd Conference of Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Poland, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event brought together nearly 150 Honorary Consuls from around the world, including Göran Hult, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Gothenburg.

01.07.2026On 29 June, the first-ever Polish-Swedish intergovernmental consultations were held in Gdynia, chaired by the Prime Ministers of Poland and Sweden, Donald Tusk and Ulf Kristersson. The meeting was attended by ministers of foreign affairs, defence, infrastructure, culture, and European affairs, who held talks with their Swedish counterparts. Also present were the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, and the Ambassador of Sweden to Poland, Martina Quick.
