26.02.2026Lunch lecture at the Stockholm School of EconomicsOn 25 February, Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska visited the Stockholm School of Economics (Handelshögskolan) to meet with students interested in careers in diplomacy and current bilateral relations between Poland and Sweden. The lunch lecture brought together nearly 50 participants representing various fields of study at SSE. The event was organised as part of International Week (February 23-27) at the invitation of the student association SASSE.

10.02.2026Inauguration of the new premises of the Polish Institute in StockholmOn 5 February 2026, the new premises of the Polish Institute in Stockholm were officially inaugurated by the Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Marcin Bosacki. The Minister expressed his hope that the Institute would become "a hub of Polish-Swedish creativity and artistic exchange.” He also emphasised the close and continuously developing relations between Poland and Sweden, based on a shared sense of responsibility for Europe's security, particularly in the Baltic Sea region.

16.12.2025Working lunch with Social Democratic leader Magdalena Andersson at the Residence of the Polish Ambassador in StockholmOn 9 December, a working lunch was held at the Residence of the Polish Ambassador in Stockholm with the leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party, Magdalena Andersson, as part of Poland's presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States. Ambassadors from the Council's member states participated in the meeting.

12.12.2025Poland joins Ukraine2EU to support Ukraine's preparation for EU MembershipOn December 11, at the Informal Meeting of Ministers for European Affairs in Lviv, Poland reinforced its support for Ukraine's EU membership by announcing its participation in the Ukraine2EU - EU Integration Support Programme. Poland has contributed €1 million to Ukraine2EU and will provide advisory support drawn from its own experience to Ukrainian public administration institutions it their efforts to conduct EU-related reforms and align legislation with the EU acquis. The contribution will also help to reinforce the Verkhovna Rada's capacities related to Ukraine's EU accession.
