08.07.2026From 3 to 5 July 2026, Warsaw hosted the 2nd Conference of Honorary Consuls of the Republic of Poland, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event brought together nearly 150 Honorary Consuls from around the world, including Göran Hult, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Gothenburg, representing Sweden.

01.07.2026On 29 June, the first-ever Polish-Swedish intergovernmental consultations were held in Gdynia, chaired by the Prime Ministers of Poland and Sweden, Donald Tusk and Ulf Kristersson. The meeting was attended by ministers of foreign affairs, defence, infrastructure, culture, and European affairs, who held talks with their Swedish counterparts. Also present were the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, and the Ambassador of Sweden to Poland, Martina Quick.

30.06.2026From 22-26 June 2026, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland participated in Almedalen Week in Visby - one of the leading public policy and political dialogue platforms in the Nordic region. This year's edition brought together approximately 42,000 participants and featured more than 3,150 events organised by around 1,900 stakeholders from across Swedish public administration, business, academia, and civil society.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm, LOT Polish Airlines, Swedavia, and the Polish Tourist Organisation.

01.06.2026On 1 June 2026, the fourth edition of the International Children's Day celebrations in the Visegrád Group (V4) format took place in Humlegården Park in Stockholm. The event was jointly organized by the embassies of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary in Sweden.

28.05.2026As part of a study visit by the Self-Government of the Małopolska Voivodeship and the Regional Centre for Social Policy in Kraków, a meeting was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm, aimed at exchanging experience and strengthening Polish-Swedish cooperation in the field of senior policy. The delegation was led by Ms. Marta Malec-Lech, Member of the Board of the Małopolska Voivodeship.

22.05.2026On 21-22 May, an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers took place in Helsingborg - the first one organised by Sweden since the country joined the North Atlantic Alliance. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Radosław Sikorski.

21.05.2026On 21 May, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Sweden, Ms Karolina Ostrzyniewska, visited Pålsjö Cemetery in Helsingborg, including the recently renovated Quarter XV - the resting place of victims of the German Nazi concentration camps who were evacuated to Sweden as part of the Swedish Red Cross operation "White Buses.”

15.05.2026On 11 May, the ceremonial celebration of Poland's Constitution Day of 3 May took place at Stockholm's Konserthuset. The evening was highlighted by a concert by sisters Agnieszka Świgut and Aleksandra Świgut, who together with musicians from the Royal Swedish Opera led the audience on a musical journey through Polish landscapes in classical music, "De Polska Landskapen i Ljud”. The guest of honour at the event was the Minister for Culture of the Kingdom of Sweden, Parisa Liljestrand.
