23.03.2026On 10-12 March, a state visit to Poland by Their Majesties the King of Sweden, Carl XVI Gustaf, and Queen Queen Silvia of Sweden took place in Warsaw and Gdańsk. The Royal Couple was accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard, Minister for Culture Parisa Liljestrand, Minister for Defence Pål Jonson, Minister for Civil Defence Carl-Oskar Bohlin, and State Secretary for Foreign Affairs Diana Janse.

06.03.2026On 6 March, representatives of the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk visited the Vrak Museum in Stockholm, continuing the fruitful cooperation initiated in 2025 during a visit by a Swedish delegation to Gdańsk. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and strengthen relations between Polish and Swedish institutions working on maritime history and cultural heritage, within the framework of implementing the Polish-Swedish strategic partnership.

03.03.2026On 3 March 2026, a high-level meeting on cooperation among countries in the Baltic Sea region in the field of civil protection and the capacity to respond to uncontrolled population movements was held in Stockholm. The meeting was organized by the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency and gathered representatives of the European Union and NATO.

26.02.2026On 25 February, Ambassador Karolina Ostrzyniewska visited the Stockholm School of Economics (Handelshögskolan) to meet with students interested in careers in diplomacy and current bilateral relations between Poland and Sweden. The lunch lecture brought together nearly 50 participants representing various fields of study at SSE. The event was organised as part of International Week (February 23-27) at the invitation of the student association SASSE.

14.02.2026The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm, Karolina Ostrzyniewska, attended the opening of the Queens exhibition at Uppsala Castle, dedicated to Barbara Radziwiłł (1522-1551), Queen of Poland and Grand Duchess of Lithuania, and Catherine Jagiellon (1526-1583), Queen of Sweden.

10.02.2026On 5 February 2026, the new premises of the Polish Institute in Stockholm were officially inaugurated by the Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Marcin Bosacki. The Minister expressed his hope that the Institute would become "a hub of Polish-Swedish creativity and artistic exchange.” He also emphasised the close and continuously developing relations between Poland and Sweden, based on a shared sense of responsibility for Europe's security, particularly in the Baltic Sea region.

09.02.2026Mr Marcin Bosacki, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, held political consultations with Swedish partners in Stockholm and, together with Sweden's Deputy Minister of Culture, Karin Svanborg-Sjövall, officially inaugurated the new premises of the Polish Institute.
