On 15 October 2026, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm hosted the seminar "Sharing Cyber 2026 Warsaw-Stockholm”, reflecting Polish-Swedish cooperation in cybersecurity and defence under the enhanced strategic partnership between the two countries. The event was organised by the Defence Attaché's Office in Stockholm and the Cybersecurity Department of the Polish Ministry of National Defence, under the honorary patronage of the Minister of National Defence, Mr Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.
Participants were welcomed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Ms Karolina Ostrzyniewska. In his opening address, Mr Cezary Tomczyk, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of National Defence, emphasised the importance of sharing experience and strengthening Polish–Swedish cooperation in response to growing challenges in cyberspace. Mr Peter Sandwall, State Secretary at the Swedish Ministry of Defence, also addressed the participants, highlighting the role of the two countries’ strategic partnership in building resilience against cyber threats.
The seminar brought together several dozen representatives of public administration, the armed forces, the diplomatic corps, academia and IT companies from Poland and Sweden. The programme featured four expert panels exploring opportunities to develop joint defence capabilities.
Discussions covered the application of academic innovation to military needs and the translation of research findings into tangible operational capabilities. Participants also examined the use of artificial intelligence in the Polish and Swedish armed forces and opportunities to bring national initiatives together in joint projects. Further panels focused on evolving cyber threats in the Baltic Sea region and cooperation to strengthen military readiness and resilience, as well as the links between undersea capabilities, electromagnetic intelligence and cybersecurity in the context of deterrence in the Baltic Sea.
