Post-Election Seminar at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm

Government formation and prospects for cooperation between political parties following Sweden's recent parliamentary elections were among the main topics of a seminar held at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Stockholm on 21 October 2026. Organised in cooperation with Mundus International, the event brought together a large number of representatives of the diplomatic corps.
Participants were welcomed by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Sweden, Ms Karolina Ostrzyniewska. The discussion featured Anders Lindberg (Political Editor-in-Chief at Aftonbladet), Paulina Neuding (political journalist at Svenska Dagbladet) and Torbjörn Sjöström (CEO of the polling institute Novus). The session was moderated by Sean Williams of Mundus International.
The discussion focused on the current balance of power in the Riksdag and its implications for the formation of a new government. The panellists explored possible ways to break the deadlock in coalition talks, the conditions for cross-party cooperation and the latest trends in opinion polls.
