Holiday Greetings from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C.

14.12.2020

Holiday greetings

As this unprecedented year comes to a close, Poland’s Ambassador to the United States, Piotr Wilczek, and his staff at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C., would like to wish everyone a festive holiday season and a joyous New Year.

Solidarity, born in Poland in 1980 as a workers union that soon transformed into one of the largest, peaceful freedom movements in world history, demonstrated the power of social bonds in creating lasting political and social change. May its legacy continue to guide us in strengthening ties between Poland and the United States, as well as with our allies. A strong transatlantic relationship, nurtured by a steadfast commitment to our shared democratic values, is vital for Europe and America’s continued prosperity.

Let us reflect upon and appreciate the moments that gave us joy this year, and may we look forward to better days that are surely ahead.
