On July 31st, 2023, one of our diplomats from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Washington, D.C., Dr. Adrian Chrobot, partook in a panel discussion in Aspen, Colorado with the USC Shoah Foundation after the showing of "Remember This", a film about Polish World War Two hero, Jan Karski, who helped expose the atrocities of the German Nazi regime.

As part of the Summer of Cinema 2023 in Aspen, Colorado, a screening of the film "Remember this" about Jan Karski took place followed by a discussion panel shortly afterwards. The USC Shoah Foundation extended an invitation to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, and our very own, Dr. A. Chrobot - Fiirst Secretary, was one of the four panellists, alongside to Eva Anisko - producer of the film "Remember This", Derek Goldman - Art director and co-writer of the film "Remember This" and Robert Williams - Director of the USC Shoah Foundation. This film and panel discussion enabled viewers and listeners to learn about the history of Jan Karski, the effort  of the Polish State in order to save Jews, and the history of Poland in the 20th century.

There was a full house of viewers in the audience present. According to the organizers, who have been following such events for years, it was the first event of this kind in the history of Jewish cinema screenings in Aspen.  The creators of the play and film talked about the origins of the project, and how the subject matter came to be, following the project and initative from Georgetown University, titled "Bearing Witness: The Legacy of Jan Karski Today."  The timeliness of memories of Russian crimes and crimes in Ukraine currently being carried out, was also pointed out by Robin Williams, which drew attention to the film and art in the face of society's growing apathy against crimes against humanity. Furthermore, the film and the panel discussion highlighted the activities of the Polish State to save Jews throughout the course of the Second World War, while also emphasizing how thousands of members of the Polish nation are among the Righteous Among the Nations of the World, for their valiant efforts against the German Nazi regime.
