Poland in Venezuela

On December 5th, “Cicha Noc” took place, a cultural and musical gathering that brought Poland and Venezuela together in the spirit of Christmas. The event featured opening remarks by Sofía Kossowski, Honorary Consul of Poland in Barquisimeto, and was hosted by master of ceremonies Paola Marin.

The musical program included Polish Christmas carols and traditional Venezuelan aguinaldos, performed by Voces Claras and the Children’s Choir of the Vicente Emilio Sojo Conservatory, under the direction of Maestro María Alejandra Castellano, with accompaniment by pianist of Polish descent Wanda Zielińska, who also guided the children in the correct pronunciation of the Polish language.

In addition, the youngest participants took part in the activity “The Colors of Poland” led by Claudia Elena, encouraging creativity and a playful introduction to Polish culture. The event unfolded in an atmosphere of celebration, tradition and Christmas joy strengthening the cultural ties between both nations.
