On March 6, Mr. Daniel Gromann, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Venezuela, delivered a lecture entitled “Poland: A Turbulent History, the Democratic Transition, and the Country’s Role in the Current International Context”. The event was organised jointly with the Diploma Program in International Relations and Diplomacy endorsed by the Latin American and Caribbean University (ULAC) and the International Continuing Education Center. The lecture was moderated by the program’s professor, Dr. Román Delgado, and lasted nearly two hours.
The presentation offered an overview of Poland’s history from the eighteenth century to the present day, highlighting in particular the political transformation that led to a peaceful transition to a democratic system at the end of the twentieth century. The lecture also addressed Poland’s role on the international stage today, as well as the progress that has contributed to its development as a modern and prosperous country. Finally, reference was made to the historical and contemporary ties between Poland and Venezuela.
At the end of the event, a question-and-answer session was held with the participants. Mr. Gromann subsequently received a certificate in recognition of his lecture in the diploma program.
