27.04.2026
Venezuelan emerging art is showcased through the launch of the digital catalogue of the works representing Venezuela at the IX International Miniature Biennial “Józef Czapski” 2026, to be held in Poland. The initiative is organized by the Włocławek High School of Fine Arts (Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych we Włocławku) and the Center for Art Education (Centrum Edukacji Artystycznej), in tribute to the Polish artist and writer Józef Czapski.
The catalogue brings together works by 23 children, adolescents, and young adults from the states of Apure, Lara, and Yaracuy, including students from the Community Integral Design program at the National Experimental University of Yaracuy. These works were selected to represent Venezuela in this edition of the international biennial.
Venezuelan participation was coordinated by the Civil Association Expresión Visual, in conjunction with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Venezuela and the Polish Consulate for the Central-Western region. The exhibition in Caracas took place from March 27 to April 1, 2026, and the submitted works will be part of the international jury’s evaluation process, as well as the patrimony of the organizing institutions following the final verdict.
The launch of the digital catalogue serves as an institutional record of Venezuela’s participation and reinforces cultural ties between Venezuela and Poland, within the framework of the artistic and intellectual legacy of Józef Czapski, whose work continues to inspire new generations of creators.
