Call for applications for the Banach NAWA Programme 2026

We are pleased to announce that on April 13, 2026, the National Agency for Academic Exchange announced a call for applications for the Stefan Banach Scholarship Program.
Applicants should submit their applications in Polish or English exclusively through the NAWA online system: https://programs.nawa.gov.pl/login by 3:00 p.m. (Central European Time) on May 8, 2026. The call for proposals may be closed early once the application limit for specific country groups has been reached.
The 2026 scholarship program is open to citizens of the following countries: Albania, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Montenegro, the Philippines, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Nigeria, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Serbia, Tanzania, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

The program offers a scholarship for the duration of full-time master’s degree programs taught in Polish or English at universities supervised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) that have entered into a framework agreement with NAWA. Candidates independently choose their field of study and apply directly to the selected universities. NAWA does not act as an intermediary in the admissions process. Studies in Polish may be preceded by a one-year preparatory course (also covered by the scholarship). For studies in English, an additional course in Polish language and culture is provided. Applicants are required to have a document confirming their participation in the admissions process (e.g., application confirmation, acceptance letter, or admission decision), except for those choosing the path that includes a preparatory course. Proficiency of the language of study at a minimum B2 level is required (or a minimum B1 level for those applying to the preparatory course).
