12.05.2025
On the occasion of the Third May Constitution Day and Polish Diaspora Day, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Albania organized a concert and a reception on May 6, 2025.
The event took place at the University of Arts in Tirana, where the Polish-Lithuanian duo Jakub Stankiewicz (piano) and Kestutis Vaiginis (saxophone) performed in the main concert hall. The artists performed their own jazz arrangements of the anthems of the European Union countries, which was a reference to the Polish presidency of the Council of the European Union, as well as pieces by composers associated with Poland, Henryk Wars and Victor Young.
The guests of the concert were representatives of the diplomatic corps, international institutions present in Tirana and the Albanian authorities (including Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for European Integration, Ms Megi Fino), representatives of institutions and organizations cooperating with the Embassy, as well as Poles living in Albania, Albanian graduates of Polish universities, people from the Albanian artistic community, especially jazz, professors and students of the University of Arts, and journalists.
After the concert, the guests participated in a reception in the main hall of the University. On this occasion, the main building of the University and the columns at the main Rector's office were illuminated in white and red colors.
