European Political Community Summit in Tirana

On May 16, 2025, the 6th European Political Community (EPC) Summit took place in Tirana. Poland was represented by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The summit was attended by 52 delegations, including heads of government or heads of state, as well as heads of international organisations. The motto of the summit was “A New Europe in a New World”. After the opening ceremony and the plenary session, three simultaneous panels took place in the form of round tables: “Securing Europe and Strengthening Democratic Resilience”, “1 Europe for 600 million citizens - Boosting European Competitiveness and Security through Innovation and Resilience” and “An Open Europe with Secure Borders Addressing Mobility Challenges and Fostering Youth Empowerment”.

Prime Minister Donald Tusk participated in the first of the three panels. He also held bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations from Great Britain, Armenia, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as a meeting in the format of Poland, Germany, France, Great Britain, Ukraine, during which the leaders held a telephone conversation with the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, on the subject of the Ukraine-Russia peace talks.
