    Accompanied by the Chairman of the Polish-Balkan Parliamentary Group, Polish MP Tomasz Głogowski, Albanian Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha and the head of the UNDP mission in Albania, Monica Merino, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Monika Zuchniak-Pazdan on 7 August officially opened a fire station in Fier. Construction of the station and provision of specialised rescue equipment was made possible thanks to the support of the Polish government.

    The inaugural "Picnic of Poles and Friends of Poland" took place on 11th of May 2024, in the gardens of the Embassy of Poland in Tirana, celebrating Polish Flag Day and the Day of Poles Abroad. The event gathered Poles residing in Albania and a group of Albanian graduates from Polish universities.

    On May 4th, the Delegation of the European Union to Albania commenced the "Europe Week 2024" in its customary fashion, aligning with the theme "EU for Inclusiveness, Diversity, and Human Rights." The event unfolded across Shkodra in the north, Gjirokastra in the south, and culminated in the capital, Tirana. A diverse array of activities filled the week, featuring film screenings, concerts, an "EU fair," panel discussions, youth workshops, debates, and even a spirited football match, held from May 4th to May 11th. Notably, this year's "Europe Week" coincided with the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the European Union's enlargement, which welcomed ten new member countries, including Poland.
