Poland in Albania

On 4th of March we celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the birth of Ryszard Kapuściński.

On 11 January 2023 the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Tirana, M. Zuchniak-Pazdan, in the presence of the Mayor of the capital city of Tirana, E. Veliaj, officially opened the renovated sports infrastructure in one of the secondary schools in Tirana.

Thanks to the support of the Embassy of Poland in Tirana and funds from the "Polish Aid" program, kitchen and rehabilitation equipment were provided to four nursing houses run by The Missionaries of Charity in Albania.

On the occasion of Independence Day, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tirana organized a reception. 105th anniversary of regaining independence was an excellent opportunity to remind the wide public of the ground-breaking historical events that led Poland to regain Independence in 1918 and to emphasize the importance of this celebrations for Poles.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tirana supported the "Ramazan Kabashi" school and educational center for blind children in Tirana as part of the Polish development cooperation program "Polish Aid". The project partner was the VISIUM Institute for the Blind, which has been operating for years in the field of supporting the education of blind and visually impaired children and youth.

In the framework of the International Jazz Festival in Albania Polish jazz band ZIEMIA performed on 29th of September at Arka Center in Shkodër and on 30th of September at the VH Eurostar Hotel jazz club in Tirana. The concerts are part of a series of events organized under the JAZZ PO POLSKU "Around the World" project, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tirana, local organizers of the "Jazz in Albania" festival and with the support of Culture.pl. The band performed in its original line-up: Oskar Tomala (guitar), Mateusz Żydek (trumpet), Jakub Wosik (double bass) and Alan Kapołka (drums).

The Lauterpacht Centre for International Law is pleased to announce the opening of a competition for two scholarships funded by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tirana, in close cooperation with the Nacional Agency of Civil Protection and Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue (Polish: Tatrzańskie Ochotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe – “TOPR”), a mountain rescue organization in Poland, have successfully implemented yet another project co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
