Polish technological solutions for mining sector in Albania

The potential of Albania's mineral deposits, especially strategic and critical mineral resources, challenges and opportunities in entering the European Union market with support of Polish innovations, were the highlights of roundtable discussions for Polish entrepreneurs in Tirana.
A special session dedicated to Polish technological solutions for the mining industry organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tirana with support of Regional Innovation Center EIT Raw Materials Albania, was part of the two-day Albanian Raw Materials Community Dialogue in Albania, gathering all mining sector stakeholders in Albania.
Following companies presented their scope of activity and offer adjusted to Albanian market demands: Comex Group, Pietrucha, JSW Nowe Projekty, Famur, Elgór + Hanson. Additionally, Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute presented its activities.
The event gathered a significant audience consisting of representatives of entrepreneurs, state institutions and academia, both from Albania and the region. During the session, a factshseet on mining sector in Albania was presented, including most important information on the size of mineral deposits, their location, the most important legislation, key institutions and procedures for obtaining concessions.
