Working breakfast with the participation of EU Ambassadors and the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania

On 26 June 2025, at the initiative of Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Wojciech Unolt, a working breakfast was held with the participation of the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania, Igli Hasani, and the Ambassadors of the European Union Member States accredited in Albania. The meeting was of a summary nature and took place in connection with the end of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The talks covered key issues related to Albania’s European perspective, the challenges of the accession process and ongoing regional cooperation. Minister Hasani expressed gratitude for the active involvement of the EU and Poland’s role in promoting the integration of the Western Balkans with the EU. He praised the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union for bringing “clarity, momentum, and renewed commitment" to the EU enlargement process. Speaking at the working breakfast, Hasani called EU enlargement “a strategic investment in our shared future – a unifying and forward-looking project that strengthens the whole continent”.

The Head of Mission also shared his message from the meeting, summing up: “Today, with Minister Igli Hasani and EU Ambassadors, we agreed that the future of the EU is enlargement, and Albania is on the right track towards the EU family. Poland remains a strong supporter of enlargement and of a united, safe Europe.”
