Europe Day 2026
11.05.2026
On May 10 Europe Day celebrations took place at Freedom Square in front of the National Opera House in Yerevan.
This special celebration of European countries brought together diplomatic missions, international organizations, and local institutions cooperating with Europe. Each country prepared its own stand featuring informational materials, elements of national culture, traditional dishes, and a variety of attractions and activities for visitors.
Citizens of Armenia, as well as international guests, had the opportunity to discover the richness and diversity of European cultures in one place, learn more about ongoing and planned projects, and take part in numerous accompanying events.
The Polish stand attracted considerable interest. It featured books about Poland and translations of Polish poetry into Armenian, created within projects co-financed by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Yerevan. Visitors could also receive small gifts and gadgets highlighting Polish-European friendship by participating in a special quiz about Poland.
Our stand was visited by the European Union Ambassador to Armenia, Mr. Vassilis Maragos, who read the quiz questions in Armenian and answered them flawlessly.
