Poland in Armenia

On the 12th of August 2022, on the occasion of the „Polish Armed Forces’ Day” (celebrated on the 15th August) the solemn ceremony was organized by the Defence Attaché’s Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.

Microcosm to macrocosm. This year’s winners of the Benedict the Pole Award were recognised for research on the most dangerous haemorrhagic fever viruses, work on Kurdish cultural heritage, and conducting an exploratory mission to Titan, a moon of Saturn.

The most important urban event for the first time in Central and Eastern Europe

As part of the European Commission's Team Europe Initiative on vaccine aid from EU member states for the Eastern Partnership countries, on April 11, 2022 Portugal donated a second batch of 200,070 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to Armenia.

On March 21th the symbolic vaccine handover ceremony took place at the “Reference” laboratory of the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Health of Armenia. The ceremony was attended by the EU Ambassador to Armenia Andrea Wiktorin, Chargé d'affaires of the Polish Embassy in Armenia Krzysztof Bartczak, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Lena Manushyan and director of the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control Artavazd Vanyan.

On March 1 ar 10:30 AM we raised the Ukrainian National flag to show support during Russia's invasion.

Today, Poland has started its one-year Chairmanship at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Thus, our country is assuming a greater role in shaping security and stabilisation on the European continent in the spirit of the Helsinki Final Act, whose 50th anniversary we will be celebrating in 2025.
