Poland in Australia

To mark a year since Russia's full-scale aggression of Ukraine, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland, together with the ANU Film Group, the ANU Centre for European Studies and the Ukrainian Embassy in Canberra, presented a screening of “Masha & Valentyna”, a documentary by Sydney-based filmmaker Simon Target.

The 15th Festival of Polish Visual and Performing Arts PolArt Sydney 2022, with the participation of artists from Australia and New Zealand, takes place from 27 December 2022 until 6 January 2023. Join us in Sydney!

Thanks to the “Polish Aid” funds and the initiative of Polish missionaries, we have implemented three projects in Papua New Guinea in 2022.

On the occasion of the 149th anniversary of Strzelecki’s passing away and as part of the History Week in Victoria, an exhibition celebrating great Polish explorer’s life and his humanitarian work during the Great Irish Famine was shown in Corryong.

The launch in Canberra of the exhibition of drawings of Polish and Ukrainian children, presenting respectively memories of World War II and experiences of the current Russia’s invasion on Ukraine took place on 30 September at the Australian National University’s Centre for European Studies.
