129th anniversary of the brith of General Stanisław Maczek: at the Polish Military Cemetery in Lommel a tribute was paid to the CO of the 1st Armoured Division.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Visegrad Group, on 15th February 2021, the Ambassadors of Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic to Belgium inaugurated an open-air exhibition in Brussels concerning 30 years of achievements of the V4. The exhibition includes unique photos, documents as well as rich information about the history and activities of the Visegrad Group and the International Visegrad Fund.

Thirty years ago, on 15 February 1991, the presidents of Poland and the Czechoslovakia, and the prime minister of Hungary signed the Declaration on Cooperation between the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, the Republic of Poland and the Republic of Hungary in Striving for European Integration in the castle of Visegrad, Hungary.

“As the Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army, I hereby notify belligerent and neutral governments and nations of the existence of an Independent Polish State, within all the territories of the united Poland” – with these words Józef Piłsudski addressed the heads of world powers and notified them about the formation of the Second Polish Republic.

Polish candidate for the post of Secretary-General of the OECD will present his ideas for the Organization during the online debate at PISM on 12th of November.

The MFA organised a series of expert panels and an information and promotional campaign under the slogan “UN Week” to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations Organisation.

On 15 August 2020 we solemnly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw – a culminating point of the Polish-Soviet War (1919-1920) and one of the most decisive events in the history of Poland, Europe, and the world

The material, moral and diplomatic support of the Belgian Royal Family was a symbol of the unity of the monarchy as well as the Belgian society towards Poland resisting the Bolshevik invasion. The idea of funding sanitary trains and field hospitals for the soldiers wounded at the front was extremely valuable for the Polish Army. The help offered by Belgium saved thousands of officers and soldiers.
