Representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Brussels took part in this year's ceremonies marking the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Belgian towns and cities from German occupation. Many of the events paid tribute to the Polish soldiers of the 1st Polish Armoured Division, who, led by General Stanisław Maczek, fought for freedom in around 60 Flemish towns and cities.

The College of Europe has opened applications for its postgraduate programmes for the 2026/27 academic year. In response to the growing need in Europe for experts in security, the College of Europe in Natolin is proud to announce the new study track within the Advanced MA in European Interdisciplinary Studies: European Security and Strategy. On 28 September this year, a ceremony was held in Lommel to mark the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Belgian towns and villages by the soldiers of the 1st Armoured Division under General Stanisław Maczek. The event was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Brussels, the City of Lommel, and the Union of Poles in Belgium.

The Entry/Exit System (EES) is Europe's new border management system for registering non-EU nationals travelling for a short stay, each time they cross the external borders of 29 European countries.

On September 28, a ceremony commemorating the participation of General Stanisław Maczek's 1st Armored Division in the liberation of Belgium will be held at the Polish war cemetery in Lommel, Limburg.

On 7 September 2025, Roeselare hosted a ceremony commemorating the city's liberation by the soldiers of General Stanisław Maczek's 1st Armoured Division.

On 6 September, the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Brussels hosted this year's edition of the National Reading, held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland. This year's event was devoted to the works of Jan Kochanowski.

On 02.09.2025 Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski presented the Lech Wałęsa Solidarity Prize in Miami. This year's prize went to Berta Soler Fernandez, a Cuban dissident and the leader of the Ladies in White opposition group.
