May 3rd Constitution Parade in Toronto

On May 8, 2022 for the first time the May 3 Constitution Parade took place in Toronto, organized by the Canadian Polish Congress.

The guest of honor of the parade was Minister Adam Kwiatkowski - Secretary of State in the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland who, after hoisting the Polish flag in front of the Toronto City Hall, read a letter from the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, to the participants and organizers of the parade.

Speeches were also delivered by: Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Canada - Witold Dzielski, Mayor of Toronto - John Tory, President of the Canadian Polish Congress - Janusz Tomczak, President of the Ukrainian Congress - Peter Schturyn and candidate for the parliamentary elections Onatrio Natalia Kusendova and Władysław Lizoń - former federal MP.

Then a colorful white and red parade began from Toronto sign at Nathan Philips Square. Parade was attended by representatives of Polish organizations, schools, scouts and numerous Polish diaspora.

The parade was part of the Polish Heritage Month in Ontario, which is celebrated for the first time this year.
