May 1 (Sunday) - The commencement of Polish Heritage Month in Ontario.

  • Presentation of the logo of the Polish Heritage Month in Ontario – Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto.
  • 10:30 a.m. - Holy Mass for the Homeland. After the Holy Mass, an artistic program performed by the Polish School, the Parish Choir, the "Pod Niebem Pana" ensemble, ZHP Windsor and the "Polskie Nadzieje" ensemble. Holy Trinity Church, Windsor, ON. Free entrance.
  • 11.00 a.m. – Celebrating 231 Anniversary of the May 3rd Constitution in Mississauga (Mass and celebrations at the Patriot Monument). Organizer: Canadian Polish Congress, Mississauga Branch. Place: Church. M. Kolbe in Mississauga. Free entrance.
  • 2: 30 - 3: 30 p.m. - Celebrating 231 Anniversary of the May 3rd Constitution. Artistic program prepared by the Youth Group SPDL Dom Polski, 1275 Langlois Ave., Windsor, ON Organizer: Association of the Polish People's House. Free entrance.
  • 5.00 p.m. - Literary workshops for teachers of the Polish community abroad at John Paul II  Polish Cultural Centre in Mississauga. Organizer: Polish Teachers Association in Canada – Mississauga Branch.

 

May 2 (Monday) - the Day of the Flag of the Republic of Poland and the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad

  • 12.00 p.m. - Opening of the exhibition: 20th anniversary of the twin cities of Windsor-Lublin, which will last until May 9, City Hall, 350 City Hall Square W., Windsor, ON. Organizer: Polish-Canadian Business and Professional Association of Windsor. Free entrance.
  • 3:45 p.m. - Proclamation of Polish Heritage Month in Windsor and Polish flag raising ceremony at City Hall flagpole, 350 City Hall Square W., Windsor, ON Organizer: Association of the Polish People's House. Free entrance.
  • 6:00 p.m. - Polish flag raising ceremony in front of Kitchener City Hall. Organizer: Canadian Polish Congress – Kitchener Branch. Free entrance.
  • 7:00 p.m. - Artistic program of the Senior Club “Golden Autumn” at Polish National Union of Canada, Branch 1, 71 Judson St, Toronto. Free entrance.

May 3 (Tuesday) - National Constitution Day of May 3.

  • Celebration at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Toronto.
  • 10:00 a.m. - Polish flag raising ceremony in front of Mississauga City Hall.
  • 11:00 a.m. - Polish flag raising ceremony front of Niagara Falls City Hall. Organizer: Polish National Union of Canada, 12. Free entrance.
  • 1.00 p.m. - Polish flag raising ceremony in front of Orangeville Town Hall. Organizer: Polish Highlanders in Canada.
  • 9:30 p.m. - Illumination of Niagara Falls in the colors of the Polish flag.

 

May 6 (Friday)

  • "Excellence Awards Gala". Organizer: Canada-Poland Chamber of Commerce.
  • Exhibition: History of Poland, Polish monuments on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Polish cities, Polish customs, famous Poles in the world. Location: Lambton Mall, 1380 London Rd., Sarnia. Free entrance.

 

May 7 (Saturday)

  • 7.00 p.m. - Toronto Celebrity Symphony Orchestra concert - "Victoria". place: TBC.

 

May 8 (Sunday)

  • 12.00 p.m. - May 3rd Constitution Parade in Toronto.

The parade will start with the ceremonial hoisting of the Polish flag on the mast in front of Toronto City Hall on Nathan Philip Square, then it will pass along the streets: Queen St., University Ave., Queens Park Cres E., Wellesley Street, return to University Ave., Queen St. and will end at City Hall.

  • 12.00 p.m. - Exhibition on Maria Skłodowska-Curie 1275 Langlois Ave., Windsor, ON Organizer: Association of the Polish People's House. Free entrance.
  • 1:00 p.m. - Artistic program performed by Magda Kamińska, the "Tatry" Song and Dance Ensemble, the "Polish Nadzieje" Ensemble, Marcin Balcerak and Stanisław Łukawski - piano Dom Polski, 1275 Langlois Ave., Windsor, ON Organizer: Association of the Polish People's House. Free entrance.
  • 1:45 p.m. - Highlanders Concert in Brampton, after the Holy Mass at. 12:30. Organizer: Polish Highlanders in Canada.

 

May 9 (Monday) – Europe’s Day.

  • Celebrations at City Hall, Ontario Parliament, Niagara on the Lake.
  • After dusk - Illumination of City Hall, in the colors of the Polish flag. 350 City Hall Square W., Windsor, ON Organizer: Association of the Polish People's House. Illumination on May 9-13. Free entrance.

 

May 11 (Wednesday)

  • 7:00 p.m. - Meeting dedicated to the memory of Wanda Rutkiewicz - "Dreams" (program: film screening, photos, book fair) at John Paul II  Polish Cultural Centre in Mississauga.. Organizer: KORBA Travelers' Club. Free entrance.

 

May 13 (Friday)

  • Illumination of the Clock Tower in City Hall in Mississauga in the colors of the Polish flag (for 24 hours).

 

May 14 (Saturday)

  • Shanty Festival "Knaga 2022" organized by PKJK Biały Żagiel. The festival will be held in the hall of the The Polish National Union in Canada building at 71 Judson St., Etobicoke
  • 1:00 p.m. - Volleyball Tournament. Polish Beach Club, 697 Fox Pl., Harrow, ON Organizer: SPDL Youth Group. Free entrance.

  • The beginning of the sailing season on the Ontario Lake, organized by PKJK Zawisza Czarny.
