Poland in Cyprus

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Nicosia, together with the Honorary Consul General Leandros Papaphilippou, organized a special reception on the occasion of the 233. Anniversary of the Constitution of May 3. The event, which took place in the prestigious Leventis Foundation Gallery, was also part of a series of celebrations of the 20th anniversary of Poland's membership in the European Union.

On May 11 in Limassol, our embassy, together with other diplomatic missions of EU countries in Cyprus, took part in the Europe Day festival.

The International Tourism Exhibition "Travel Expo Cyprus 2024" was held in Nicosia from April 19-21.

On April 17, the Cyprus Institute organized the sCYence Fair 2024 science fair. The event was attended by research units, embassies of EU member states, as well as teams of pupils and students who presented the results of their work and experiments.

On April 10, 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Cyprus Marek Szczepanowski organized a meeting of the leader of the Belarusian democratic opposition Sviatlana Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya with ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Cyprus and representatives of Cypriot authorities at his residence.

On 12 March 1999, a free and democratic Poland joined the North Atlantic Alliance. On that date, NATO opened its ranks to three former Warsaw Pact members: Poland, Czechia, and Hungary.

On February 29, 2024, the Limassol University of Technology (TEPAK) organized an educational fair for the undergraduate students.

Two years ago, a Russian dictator attacked Ukraine in the name of a sick ideology. Ukraine's heroic resistance prevented this plan from coming to fruition and awakened Europe, reminding it of the significance of its values. Ukraine, you are not alone!

To commemorate the 214th anniversary of the birth of Fryderyk Chopin, on February 22nd 2024, a piano concert performed by the Polish pianist, Maria Gabryś-Heyke was held at the Shoe Factory in Nicosia.
