The draft of the European Council conclusions on the Multiannual Financial Framework for 2021-2027 was the main topic of the General Affairs Council meeting. The Polish delegation was headed by the Minister for European Affairs Mr Konrad Szymański.

The course of the discussion confirmed that the Member States' positions on the budget still differ significantly in terms of both the overall level of the budget and its shape. The  general agreement at the European Council meeting, which is due to start on Thursday, will be difficult to achieve.
