Engraving exhibition travels from Poland to Fodele, Crete

A unique engraving exhibition "The Apple Falls near the Apple Tree” is presented from July 1 to 15 at the El Greco Museum in Fodele by the "Domenikos Theotokopoulos” Cultural Association, curated by Magdalena Melissourgaki-Wozniak. The exhibition was placed under the honorary auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens.
The El Greco Museum hosts works by the distinguished Polish professor Ryszard Baloń, one of the most important creators in the field of miniature engraving and ex-libris, as well as his extremely talented students from the Laboratorio Grafico in Stargard.
Visitors will have the opportunity to admire works that showcase the craftsmanship of printmaking through techniques such as drypoint, oxygraphy, linocut, monotype and mezzotint. In addition, printmaking workshops for children and adults will be held, offering a unique experiential introduction to this special art form.
The exhibition featured Professor Ryszard Baloń together with the following students: Zoey Afzal, Patryk Bartosiak, Alicja Bekiesz, Agata Biryłko, Hanna Bytniewska, Dominika Czernis, Grzegorz Fojut, Marcelina Gębicka, Amelia Gontarz, Hanna Grzybowska, Julia Hrycaj, Hanna Jaruzel, Antonina Jermak, Wioletta Józefiak, Wincenty A. Judasz, Marta Kacpura, Alicja Kieliszek, Kuba Kopaczewski, Natalia Leszczyńska, Hardziej Minald, Agata Ostafijczuk, Magdalena Pawelec, Zuzanna Płonka, Emanuel Socik, Hubert Tomczak, Agnieszka Wierzbicka and Cecylia Wróbel.
