Poland in Greece

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland took part in the 37th edition of the International Tourism Exhibition Philoxenia in Thessaloniki, held on November 18-20, 2022.

On 11 November 1918 Poland regained its independence. This event occurred 123 years after the First Polish Republic had ceased to exist, a result of an arrangement between three powers, i.e, Russia, Prussia and Austria. During that time although Poland disappeared from the map of Europe, it never ceased to exist in the hearts of Poles.

We promote Poland at the 37th Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition in Thessaloniki 18-20 November, 2022.

As part of this year's edition of the festival, which will take place on November 3 to 13, two new Polish film productions will be shown: "Other People" and "Fools".

Celebrate this year’s European Day of Languages with us at the Music and Arts Centre of the City of Athens, Parko Eleftherias (next to Megaro Mousikis metro station), on Saturday, 24 September 2022, from 10:00 to 14:00!

On Sunday, September 25, at 8:30 p.m., the symphonic orchestra of the Teatr Wielki - Polish National Opera in Warsaw will play in Herodion, the greatest and most magnificent of ancient odeons, a concert dedicated to Frederic Chopin.

Polish opera "The Haunted Manor", composed by Stanisław Moniuszko, will be presented in Athens at the Mediterranean Festival of the Municipality of Kallithea, on Saturday September 10th, at 20:30.

The Embassy of Poland presents a common Polish-Ukrainian archival project consisting of drawings of Polish children from 1946 preserved in the Central Archives of Modern Records in Warsaw and contemporary drawings of Ukrainian children, related to the war currently taking place in Ukraine, collected on the “Mom, I See War” portal.

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens takes part in the 86th edition of the TIF International Fair in Thessaloniki on September 10-18, 2022.
