Poland in Greece

For 15 days on the island of Ithaca, eight artists create photographic and visual works, inspired by the history and atmosphere of the island. Artistic works, projects and various types of installations are presented to the public during exhibitions and shows carried out during the program.

The project is attended by the Polish curator Krzysztof Candrowicz - initiator, curator and coordinator of numerous projects related to culture in Łódź and around the world. Krzysztof Candrowicz is a co-founder of Łódź Art Center - a non-governmental organization operating in the field of creative industries, director of the International Festival of Photography in Łódź - one of the largest photographic events in Europe, founder of the Photo Festival Union - an association of 30 festivals from Europe. Moreover, he co-founded the Łódź Design Festival and Fabryka Sztuki - an interdisciplinary cultural institution located in the post-industrial spaces of the Scheibler factory in Łódź. His activity is well known and appreciated by the Greek partners with whom he has been cooperating for many years.
