Polish Artists' Exhibition in Greece "Intertwining Cultures"

The Polish-Greek artistic event "Intertwining Cultures" took place at the Lykovrisi-Pefki Municipal Gallery. The exhibition opening, which took place on June 9, was held in an exceptionally warm atmosphere, with the participation of Ambassador Wojciech Ponikiewski, Mayor Marios Psychalis, representatives of the Embassy, the Lykovrisi-Pefki municipal authorities, the Polish community in Greece, artists, and a large group of art lovers.
The exhibition, held under the patronage of the Polish Embassy, is the result of cultural cooperation between the Embassy and the Lykovrisi-Pefki Municipal Gallery, which aims to promote cultural dialogue and further strengthen the bonds of friendship between Poland and Greece. Polish artists living and working in Greece were presenting their works. These included painting, sculpture, mosaics, and contemporary visual art, highlighting the creative dialogue between two countries with a long cultural tradition. The event was dedicated to the memory of the recently deceased painter Krystyna Kowalska-Petalidou, a renowned artist who connected both nations through her work and work, leaving behind a valuable cultural legacy. The exhibition is curated by Małgorzata Kowalska-Petalidou, Krystyna's daughter, also a talented painter.
This exhibition marked one more important step in strengthening cultural relations between Poland and Greece, reaffirming the role of art as a bridge of communication and mutual understanding between the two nations.
