Polish films at the Animasyros International Animation Festival

At this year's 18th Animasyros International Animation Festival, which will take place from September 22nd to 28th on the island of Syros, we will have the opportunity to watch three short Polish animated films competing in the festival's competition categories.

The_Glitch

At the International Student Film Competition will feature the film "Four Walls of Memory," directed by Joanna Płatek. It's the story of a girl who, wanting to escape her fear, accidentally locks herself in a small hut in the forest. Trapped within these four walls, with no way out, she must cope with hunger, cold, and the fear of something that once wanted to harm her... and now lies dead beside her.

September 24 (Wednesday), 19:30, Conference Hall of the Cycladic Chamber of Commerce (Valma Room)

Section IV of the International Competition will feature a screening of the Polish-Portuguese production "Sequential," directed by Bruno Caetano. In a sequence of fantastic events, a young man faces not only his personal fears but also the adversities of life. A story of learning and finding the path to inspiration.

September 26 (Friday), 18:30, Conference Hall of the Cycladic Chamber of Commerce (Valma Room)

The International Television and Film Competition will feature "The Glitch," directed by Michał Janicki, a music video for the song "The Glitch" by Tomasz Jakub Opałka. This audiovisual project combines contemporary chamber music with the art of animation. Directed by Michał Janicki and produced by a team of talented filmmakers, the film offers a unique interpretation of music, building a narrative through image and movement.

September 28 (Sunday), 11:30, Apollon Theatre

Polish guests of the festival will be Michał Janicki, director of the film "The Glitch," who will meet with the audience and producers as part of the special "AGORA" section of the Festival, and Paulina Zacharek, film producer, who will participate in the Agora section panel entitled "Selection of Animated Film Productions in Europe Today" (Friday, September 26, 5:00 PM - 5:50 PM) and in Animation Speed Dating (Saturday, September 27, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM).
