The Payments 360 conference, held at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), is one of the most important industry events in Southeastern Europe. Its high status was underscored by the participation of key Greek decision-makers, including the Deputy Prime Minister of Greece, Kostis Hatzidakis, and the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis. The central point of the presence of the Polish financial market representatives at the conference forum was a panel discussion entitled “From BLIK to Agentic AI: How Poland became a Fintech Innovation Lab”. The debate, moderated by Paweł Widawski, Vice President of Fintech Poland, featured Dariusz Mazurkiewicz, CEO of BLIK (Polish Payment Standard), and Mateusz Pniewski, CEO of TransactionLink. The panel discussion, along with the presence of other Polish companies in the conference area, served to present Poland as an innovative and stable technological partner, highly attractive to Greek financial institutions, particularly in the fields of mobile payments and cybersecurity.

The joint appearance under the unified banner “POLAND – Fintech Innovation Lab” allowed for effective outreach to a wide audience of 450 high-ranking conference participants and solidified Poland's image as a mature center for financial innovation that actively co-shapes global trends. The actions taken aimed to establish permanent communication channels with Greek institutions and local industry associations, which in the long term will facilitate the international expansion processes of Polish economic entities.

The second part of the initiative consisted of an evening networking event, “Poland-Greece Fintech Bridge”, which took place at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Athens. This event enabled representatives and members of Fintech Poland to hold direct and in-depth discussions with a selected group of Greek decision-makers. The Polish delegation comprised representatives and members of Fintech Poland, including BLIK, TransactionLink, Autopay, Cleafy, Paymentology, Ebury, Billon, The Software House, Salv, and the Polish Credit Information Bureau (BIK).

This promotional endeavour was organized within the framework of the 2026 Promotional Program of the diplomatic mission in Athens, based on the Agreement of December 9, 2020, regarding cooperation between Polish foreign missions in fulfilling the tasks of the minister responsible for economy in the field of promoting the Polish economy abroad.
