Polish pavilion at the Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition in Thessaloniki
22.11.2021
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland took part in the 36th edition of the Philoxenia International Tourism Exhibition in Thessaloniki, on November 12-14, 2021. The Polish pavilion was adjacent to the stand of the Greek-Polish Chamber of Investment and Trade in Thessaloniki. Ambassador Artur Lompart participated in the opening ceremony.
The main purpose of the Polish presence at the fair was to promote the tourist values of Poland and to present our country as an attractive economic partner. Thanks to the support of the Polish Tourist Organization (POT), we had promotional materials on Polish cities, monuments and nature, as well as brochures on individual tourist attractions and cities: Lublin, Toruń, the Beskids, the Land of the Lesser Ravines and Cieszyn Silesia. The graphic design of the Polish pavilion was also prepared by the Polish Tourist Organization.
We presented the POT campaign "Poland - everything you want", showing different images of Poland. Some cities, such as Kraków, Rzeszów and Wrocław, which provided advertising spots and tourist brochures, also joined the promotional campaign.
Thanks to the cooperation with LOT Polish Airlines, we organized a competition with the prize of two air tickets for the Greece-Poland-Greece route. The competition aroused great interest among the audience visiting the event, with the participation of 285 persons.
Our presence at Philoxenia Exhibition 2021 was also availed to promote Polish apples, which we received thanks to cooperation with the National Center for Agricultural Support. Visitors of our stand had the opportunity to learn about Polish cuisine and download the e-book "The Polish Table".
The Polish stand was also a place to present Polish export potential. The AB Poland travel agency presented the offer of Polish incoming tourism and the ELZAB company promoted a sterilizer for the hotel industry. The promotion was supported by the economic self-government: the Polish-Greek Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Warsaw and the Greek-Polish Chamber of Commerce and Investments in Thessaloniki.
The Polish presence at the Philoxenia Exhibition was highly appreciated by both the organizers and the visitors.
