Embassy of Poland provided medical equipment for Mofid Children Hospital in Tehran

Third edition of a Polish Aid project "Children of Isfahan” was finalized today in the presence of the Head of Embassy of Poland in Tehran Mr Marcin Wilczek and Director of Mofid Children Hospital Shamsollah Nouripour.
The project started in 2022 as a complex cooperation with a key pediatric center for children in Tehran. In previous years internship training at Silesia Medical Center for pediatricians from Iran as well as study visit for Polish specialist to Tehran were held. This year edition foreseen transfer of diagnostic equipment for Mofid Children Hospital in Tehran.
During World War II, Iran hosted 120 000 Polish citizens released from Soviet prisons and goulags, out of which more than 20 000 were children.
Mofid Children Hospital in Tehran was established in 1974 an was considered in recent years by UNICEF as baby-friendly hospital.
