Poland in Kenya

A valid passport:

• entitles its holder to cross the border and stay abroad;
• certifies Polish citizenship;
• certifies the identity of a person named in the document (with regard to the information contained in the document);
• is the property of the Republic of Poland.

 

A passport is valid:

1. for 5 years in the case of a passport issued to a child under the age of 12;
2. for 10 years in the case of a passport issued to a person aged 12 or over;
3. temporary passport—its validity period depends on the circumstances justifying the issuance of the passport, but it is issued for no longer than 365 days.

 

A temporary passport may be issued, for instance:

- if you are staying outside Poland and are waiting to collect your passport (and you filed the application at the same consular post);

- in the event of an emergency (for example, to enable you to return to the place of your permanent residence, due to illness, funeral of a family member, or work-related matters) if you submit documents confirming the occurrence of the above circumstances, which require you to obtain the document urgently.

 

Remember!

Honorary consuls do not issue passports.
